The Q-Series filter, manufactured by Omnipure, is an easy-to-install replacement cartridge that twists right into a permanent head. The Q5385 is a special filter that only includes phosphate. Phosphate acts as a scale inhibitor in water and lowers scale build-up potential on equipment.
