GE's Desal Encapsulated TFM-24EB RO membrane comes encased in a plastic housing with flow control, a check valve, and1/2" quick connect fittings. Crossflow filtration increases this membrane's service life. As matter collects on the membrane, water from the feed solution sweeps it away and out its own tube. The cleansed permeate, or purified water, stream continues separately from the drain stream to a storage tank or its point of use.
