Aquamira Water purification drops are packaged in a convenient 2 oz. size for treating larger batches of water. This size is perfect for treating water stored in 55 gallon or smaller containers. It is also useful for treating water in RV water storage tanks, on site water storage tanks such as cisterns or camp water systems and other water storage applications.
Aquamira Water drops treat water using chlorine dioxide to kill bacteria, control the build up of slime and improve the taste of stored water. Each kit contains enough solution to treat up to 60 gallons of water. Aquamira Water Treatment Drops will not discolor water and will actually improve the taste of treated water. The 2 oz. size has a long shelf life of two years so you can keep it for use in emergency situations or take it with you on the go.
NOTE: Be aware of water treatment products that claim EPA or FDA approval but do not list a valid EPA registration number or active ingredients. See SPECS below for EPA information.

Technology
Chlorine dioxide is the active ingredient in Aquamira Water Treatment. Chlorine dioxide is iodine free and chlorine free. The unique formula works by releasing nascent oxygen, a highly active form of oxygen, which is a strong oxidant and a powerful germicidal agent. Chlorine dioxide has been used by municipal water treatment plants to kill a variety of waterborne pathogens since the mid-1900's. Unlike free chlorine (familiar as household bleach) or other halogen chemicals (such as iodine), chlorine dioxide does not create potentially harmful by-products.
Aquamira Water Treatment benefits are many, compared to the other common portable water treatment chemical, iodine. Chlorine dioxide is a stronger oxidant than iodine, with greater pathogen killing strength. Also, unlike iodine, chlorine dioxide does not discolor water, nor does it give water a bad taste.
